This one-year postgraduate advanced diploma in diagnostic medical ultrasound is designed for doctors aiming to become qualified sonologists. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on practical training, enabling graduates to effectively serve in secondary or tertiary hospitals and clinics.
Course Overview (ADMS): The Advanced Diploma program covers various topics, including the Physics of Ultrasound, Orientation to X-ray, CT, MRI, SPECT, PET, and abdominal ultrasound (covering GIT, adrenal glands, and appendix). It also includes gynecology and obstetrics ultrasound, small parts ultrasound, comprehensive Color Doppler and Power Doppler ultrasound, an introduction to musculoskeletal ultrasound, pediatric ultrasound, and a complete course in transvaginal sonography (TVS).
The ADMS program runs for 12 months, consisting of four semesters of full-time didactic courses paired with intensive hands-on training, culminating in a dissertation and final examination.
